The company DMC® made and dyed since centuries the wool in its own manufacture to Mulhouse. Since origin Wool and Silk have alone been employed to do Needlepoint Tapestries. The wool presents the advantage of the longevity; Even more today since it is mothproof and colorfast. Thanks to the possibility to add or to remove single strand thread to its needle, the Medici wool allows to use all types and sizes of canvas. For 14 count straight stitches in bargello use 3 strands, for regular needlepoint half stitch use 2 strands. By its softness its smoothness its facility of utilization its colors and its texture makes is an incomparable matter. |
